- Desserts are the final and the most satisfying part of any meal. They are a means for a blissful end to a scrumptious feast. Desserts include cakes, puddings, cookies, biscuits, tarts, custard, sweet soups, fruits etc. No meal is complete without dessert. Some are light and fruity, some chocolaty. Every country has their different special desserts, here is a list of Best desserts all around the world
1. Belgium: Belgian waffle
It is a common snack in the streets of Belgium. It is light, it becomes more tasty when topped with powdered sugar. Nutella and fruits like strawberries increase its sweetness to twice .
2. England : Banoffee Pie
England is hometown for Banoffee Pie. It is a pie made with banana, cream, toffee and chocolate or coffee. It seems like a delicious cake with chocolate toppings.
3. Japan : Mochi
Japanese Mochi got its name from Mochigome , a glutinous rice which is first converted into a paste and molded into a circular shape. It is common throughout the year but mostly sold at Japanese New year. Sometimes, it served with small scoop of ice cream, crushing of chocolate over it.

The pie consists of apple wrapped in flaky crust. It is served with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or cheddar cheese. It doesn’t get more American than apple pie.

It is commonly selling in the streets of Italy, an Italian version of ice cream that’s more like the softy served in American ice cream. It has a wide variety of flavours like raspberry, pistachio, rum, chocolate etc.
6. India: Gulab Jamun
Gulab Jamun is one of the best desserts in India. It is also eaten throughout Southeast Asia. Basically, it described as donut holes dipped in sugary syrup, Gulab Jamun is made with milk powder and fried in Ghee ( a type of butter).
7. Canada : Nanaimo Bar
Nanaimo got its name from the city of Nanaimo in British Columbia. This is a simple dessert which doesn’t require baking. It divided into layers which contains wafer crumb crust, custard flavour butter icing and topped with melted chocolate.
8. Sweden : Prinsessetarta
Prinsessetarta is a layer cake covered with topping of marzipan (usually green in colour) it gives unique look to the cake. Under marzipan, there are multiple layers of sponge cake, pastry cream, and whipped cream.
9. Australia : Lamingtons
Lamingtons are quite popular among locals and tourists in Australia. These bars made of vanilla sponge cake with coconut and chocolate icing over it. sometimes it stuffed with Panna cotta and strawberries filling in it.
10. Iceland : Skyr
Skyr is a yogurt-like dessert is served with milk and sugar and sometimes with fruits as well. It is a part of Icelandic cuisine from thousand of years.
11. France : Marshmallow Dessert
Marshmallow is a sugar based confection, It consists of sugar, water and gelatin which is whipped in spongy consistency, molded in cylindrical pieces, and coated with corn starch. Mainly, it’s a dessert of France and served with chocolate and strawberries with it.
