Here are some supermoms, entrepreneurs, and teachers of INDIA who are serving the nation in an extraordinary way.
Priti Patkar: “The Entrepreneur Mother”
She is a common homemaker, who started an NGO that is doing social work in the red light areas of Mumbai. She has started the NGO that provides night care to the children of women working in red light areas.
Priti is bringing a change in the situation of children whose future is completely darkened due to the business that persists in red light areas.
Sneha Kamath: “Modern Mother” !
She is a post graduate in sociology and driving instructor by passion. She is the only female car driving instructor. She loves to explore different places while driving and she want that every woman must be self-reliant, she is breaking all the boundaries to which women are confined in India.
She is bringing a change by her steps towards women independence.
Pooja Taparia: “Caring Mother”
She gone for a play which was based on child abuse when she realized the deteriorating condition of children, she decided to take the matter in her hands finally decided to start an NGO “Arpan” .
This works towards preventing child abuse. Arpan has started its work and has affected over 70,000 people directly and over 210,000 indirectly. Her only aim is to eradicate this intolerable act .
Mala Shrikanth: “Long Sighted Mother”
Life has not been so supporting to Mala as she met with a life threatening accident and took divorce.
After these incidents she returned to India from Oman. She was a doctor by profession she gave up her practice and started a knitting factory in Ranikhet, her hometown. This industry helped the people of her hometown to have a medium of livelihood as well as she was also able to cope up with her financial problems.
In this way she targeted unemployment in her hometown.
Pratima Devi: “Loving Mother”
She is a poor rag-picker, but she has a giant heart, she lives in Delhi and feeds 300 stray dogs, she refers them as her kids and makes sure that none of them goes hungry. She has been awarded
Godfrey Philips Bravery Award For her works that she is doing presently.she is a foster mother to several dogs. 🙂
Shila Ghosh: “Hard Working Mother!”
She started her preparation when she used to take her daughters to tennis club and finally she achieved her aim despite facing harsh weather conditions.
Patricia Narayan: “Business-minded mother”!
