1. Rolls Royce Phantom III
The Rolls Royce Phantom III was the final large pre-war Rolls Royce. Introduced in 1936 it replaced the Phantom II and was the only V12 Rolls Royce until 1998 introduction of the Silver Ralph.
The Phantom III was the last car that Henry Royce worked on- he died, aged 70, a year into the Phantom III’s development.
2. Mercedes Benz 300 Automatic
It was the first automatic car made by Mercedes in 1955. Amazing!
Isn’t it? The company’s largest and most prestigious automobile, it was Maybach of its day, elegant, expensive, powerful and exclusive. Also referred as a “Type 300” it was equal in features and price but superior in performance to the rival Rolls Royce Silver Cloud.
3. Jaguar Mark IX
The Mark IX Jaguar is a large luxury saloon car produced by Jaguar Cars between 1959 and 1961. The Mark IX was popular as a ceremonial car for the state dignitaries.
When Charles de Gaulle paid a visit to Canada in 1960, the official cars for the motorcade were Mark IX Jaguars, rather than Cadillacs or Lincolns.
4. Fiat 500
The Fiat 500 commonly known as”Topolino”, is an Italian city car produced and manufactured by Fiat from 1936 to 1955. The name “Topolino” translates literally as ” little mouse” in Italian, but also the Italian name for Mickey Mouse. The Topolino was one of the smallest cars in the world at the time of its production. Launched in 1937, three models were produced until 1955.
5. Chevrolet Standard 6
The Chrome Grille style of the Chevy Standard Six makes it look Muscular. It was launched in 1933 by Chevrolet as lower price alternative to 1932 Chevrolet Series BA Confederate. It was advertised as the cheapest six-cylinder enclosed car on the market. The car had full instrumentation. A clock, a radio, and a heater were the options.
